One bead at a time….

Those of you that I’ve met at an art show have probably seen me in the process of working. Yes, each bead on each piece that I sell is stitched by me, by hand and when asked I’ll hold up my hands and boom - WITH THESE TWO HANDS! And then laugh, of course! I love my job and feel so fortunate to be able to be my own boss. I get to do this crazy job, travel all over, and bring my hand made pieces to you either at one of the many art fairs I do, or through my website. Please check out my upcoming events page to see where I’ll be exhibiting next, or sign up for my newsletter for show updates and new works in progress.

FAQs

Do you really make every piece?

This is a common question I get at every show I do. I understand! These beads are sooooo small! How the heck do I see them all, thread the needle, find the tiny hole in the bead, and then pick up every bead with the needle? Know that when you are buying one of my pieces, that I, personally, stitched every one of those beads. Yes, some pieces take hours and hours! But the end result is always worth it! (Occasionally I post a speedy video on Instagram….follow me!)

When will my order ship?

Most in stock items will ship within 2-3 business days (depending on my show and travel schedule) by First Class Mail. Tracking information will be provided. If you need your purchase faster, please reach out before completing your order so we can discuss faster shipping options.

For custom pieces, they typically will be completed and mailed within 7-10 business days. Again, if you need it faster, please reach out. My schedule may permit a faster turnaround time.

Do you ship outside of the United States?

Yes I will! However, my free shipping and shipping discounts won’t apply. If you see a piece you’d like, before completing your purchase, please reach out to me at mgnhoran@yahoo.com All shipping costs and a small handling fee will need to be calculated and agreed upon prior to completing your order. We can discuss the best way to ship, postal service, UPS, etc. based on your location. Shipping times will vary.

It looks so delicate, I’m afraid to wear it!

When customers express this concern at a show, I usually pick up one of my chevron necklaces and do the “tug test”. My jewelry is made to last! When wearing my pieces, please try not to get them snagged or over-stretched.  If you wear my jewelry  (like I do) in any weather, you can clean the jewelry by wiping the beads with a damp cloth.  A splash while doing dishes or washing your hands is fine but please do not submerge my pieces in water - shower, pools and the ocean are no-nos and can compromise the thread.

But what if something happens to it?

I take great care when creating these pieces to make them durable and to last for many years to come. Occasionally, something will happen with normal wear and a repair is needed. If that's the case, please either call or email me and I will be happy to repair my jewelry free of charge, refunding your first class mail shipping costs.

What kind of materials do you use?

My pieces are all made using glass seed beads that I stitch together with needle and thread. Most of the earwires I use are Sterling Silver. If it’s another material, it will be noted in the description. The focal pieces in most of my bead embroidery work are semi precious stones - labradorite, jaspers, agates, labradorite, moonstone, onyx and did I mention labradorite - my all time favorite stone in case you didn’t know!! I also use fossils, shells, Czech glass buttons, enameled metal and other materials. These will also be noted in the descriptions, but if you are unsure, ask away! The beads are stitched directly to Lacy’s Stiff Stuff for the bead embroidery pieces and they are backed with Ultra Suede, a synthetic suede material. I have some leather backing that I plan to use, so if you are vegan or vegetarian, please let me know and I can confirm the materials on a specific piece.

Do you ever offer discounts or have sales?

Why yes, I do! The best way to know about any sales is to subscribe to my email list below. I promise, I won’t inundate you with emails! One a month, maybe 2 if there’s a lot going on. Please note I can’t offer a discount or free shipping on just a sterling chain or leather cord purchase (the order may process, but I’ll have to cancel it and refund you). If you are adding a chain or cord to a beaded purchase, the discount will apply to the entire purchase price.

What if I’m buying this as a gift?

If you are purchasing this item as a gift, I am happy to work with the recipient on an exchange or modification (lengthening, shortening, change of color) to fit their needs.  If a gift is to be returned for a refund (within 30 days from the date of giving), I can only refund the original purchaser once the item is returned.

What about other returns?

I have a 30 day return policy for all other returns. If you get my jewelry home and decide it's not the right color, shape, length, etc. and you would like to return it in its original condition, please call or email and I will provide the address. Once received, I will process the refund either as a credit to your credit card, or a check if purchased with cash. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility, or we can make arrangements for you to return the item at an upcoming show.

When will I see you again?

There’s an easy way to find me again! Check out my upcoming events page! I do my best to keep that updated as show acceptances (and yes, rejections too…..) come in. But better yet! Sign up for my newsletter-the sign up is just a little scroll down. I reach out every two-four weeks depending on my schedule and would love to include you! You’ll get first dibs on new pieces, and will find out about any upcoming sales offers. No hard feelings if you unsubscribe, I promise:)
